And who does not like eating sea food? Fish is an item without which sea food is incomplete. There are a variety of fishes available in restaurants and most sea food lovers find it difficult to choose from the menu the type of fish they want to try out each time. Nowadays, Chilean Sea Bass is becoming a significant sea food item in most of the fast food bars, supermarkets and restaurants in United States of America and a few other countries.

This is because people are realizing how much this type of fish can add to our health and well being. Before you reach the decision of choosing which fish type to enjoy with your friends and family, get educated on Chilean Sea Bass. It belongs to the class of fishes which live in deep oceans. It can be safely and legally caught in Antarctica and in the waters of Southern oceans. An interesting fact about this fish is that its weight is approximately two hundred pounds or more and has a life of over fifty years; characteristics, not many fishes are blessed with.

The reason behind its name Chilean Sea Bass is not that its body shape is like a bass and nor can it be found in waters of Chile; in fact, the name has no relation to any of its features. This fish is related to the family of tooth fishes of Antarctica region. It is the first fish which was commercially available as tooth fish in the states of America.

The meat of Chilean Sea Bass is pure white in colour and it tastes better than any other fish type. For this reason, it is available in the supermarkets at a very high price and is a prestigious dish in high end restaurants. Fortunately, this fish does not fall under the category of endangered species meaning you can eat as much of it as you want, provided your pocket is not used to being empty.

There are a number of recipes available on the Internet which teach you to make amazing Chilean Sea Bass. A quick recipe is shared through this article. All you need is two to three fillets of fish, some cooking oil, olive oil, butter, salt, pepper, grounded onions and parsley, a few slices of mushrooms and chicken stock.

First of all, preheat the oven to 450 degrees and put inside it a try for twenty minutes which carries fish fillets, salt, pepper and olive oil. Now in a pan, add some cooking oil and butter along with onions, mushrooms and chicken stock. Mix all the ingredients well till the sauce becomes thick. On a plate, lay down the fillets and pour this sauce over it.
